Location: Hammersmith Role: Sociology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons across Key Stage 4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of sociological theories and concepts within Sociology.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Sociology curriculum within the Social Sciences department.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Sociology.
  • Potentially contribute to extracurricular Sociology clubs or discussions, promoting engagement with Sociology.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Sociology.
  • Degree in Sociology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Sociology at Key Stage 4 (experience at KS5 advantageous).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject of Sociology.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring Sociology to life for students.
  • A commitment to fostering critical thinking and sociological understanding in Sociology.
