About the Role

An innovative and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith is urgently seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-impact interventions to help children overcome academic and social-emotional challenges.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, focusing on literacy, numeracy, communication, and social-emotional development. The role also involves supporting class teachers to differentiate lessons so that every pupil can access the curriculum confidently. Person Specification

  • Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or delivering targeted interventions
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and empathy for children with additional needs
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant, ELSA, or SEN-specific training

Desirable: Knowledge of Talk Boost, Lego Therapy, Little Wandle, or 1st Class@Number programs.
