About the Role

A vibrant primary school in Chiswick is seeking a skilled Intervention Teaching Assistant to join its committed team. This role focuses on delivering structured interventions to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external specialists to help children overcome learning and emotional challenges and reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, delivering interventions in literacy, numeracy, social communication, and emotional regulation. Additionally, you will assist in mainstream lessons, ensuring lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils.

Person Specification

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN and delivering targeted interventions
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and empathy for children with additional needs
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant, ELSA, or SEN-specific training

Desirable: Knowledge of Talk Boost, Lego Therapy, Little Wandle, or 1st Class@Number interventions.
