A well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Hammersmith is seeking an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school values practical skills and is looking for a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their team. This Food Technology Teacher will deliver the curriculum across KS3 and KS4. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4.
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of nutrition, food science, and practical cookery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Food Technology curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Food Technology.
  • Play a key role in organising food-based events and supporting healthy lifestyle initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, food science, food safety, and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage learners of all abilities in Food Technology.
  • Creativity, structure, and enthusiasm in teaching Food Technology.
