What You’ll Do:

IMG Studios’ Film, Audio & Branded Content department (FAB) are looking for an Account Director to lead the account team for a high-profile global brand with heritage at the centre of its messaging. You will oversee operational excellence and creative execution of all production and account services and will build, maintain and strengthen strong relationships with the client and their production partners projects, always representing both the client and IMG’s interests. You will be responsible for proactively taking responsibility for meeting financial targets and finding opportunities to grow the account with a long-term view.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

General / Operational

  • Oversee the day-to-day team and operational aspects of the client account.
  • Be the IMG touchpoint for the client’s agencies & partners, maintaining strong relationships with your counterpoints at each.
  • Work closely with the Head of Production (HOP) and Production Executive to ensure all projections, targets and financial forecasts are up to date, accurate, and met.
  • Work closely with the HOP, Creative Director, Senior Manager, Research and Operations, and Rights Managers to ensure all Research & Rights and Production projects are running with the best-in-class talent according to the individual needs of the project. 
  • Maintain visibility of production projects, providing editorial oversight as required. 
  • Oversee the extensive Rights & Research services that IMG provides the client.  Work closely with the Archive Producer and the Rights Managers to ensure all project footage rights, clearances, and other client/partner requests are properly managed. 
  • Collaborate with the SVP and HOP to develop strategic and operational plans for account retention and growth.
  • Report to the SVP and HOP on a weekly basis, updating on risks, opportunities, and project statuses.
  • Work with the HOP and the Senior Manager, Research & Operations to build an agile workflow and execute effective processes.  Implement the use of project management tools to assist scheduling, to review project timelines, and to ensure deadlines are consistently met. 
  • Identify and address any departmental inefficiencies and be proactive in making new recommendations to improve internal tools and processes.  Think innovatively and experiment with new approaches and technologies in order to achieve output excellence.
  • Review technical workflows with the Media Manager and HOP (media storage, editing facilities, cloud-based software, etc.) to ensure they are appropriate for each project and for the department’s output. 
  • Assist in writing creative briefs and developing presentations.
  • Keep across industry trends and players in the industry who may be beneficial to future projects.

Client Services

  • Act as the key client contact for the account, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Work with the HOP to cultivate increasingly constructive and efficient relationships with the client, their agencies, and internal and external talent.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the brand values, ethos, and strategic vision of the client and their partner agencies.

Line Management

  • Take responsibility for establishing excellence of account operations.  Inspire a culture of innovation, encourage collaboration, ensure inclusion, and take a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Deliver and ensure best practice in motivating and appraising direct reports, and – where appropriate – ensure that training needs are facilitated in order to respond to changes in creative, editorial, and technical workflows.
  • Empower, inspire, and support the team to produce exceptional work for the client.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

  • Previous experience in a senior client-facing role. 
  • Previous experience working with luxury brands.
  • Previous experience communicating with key client stakeholders.  
  • Proven experience of leading and motivating a team.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
