We're hiring a Lifestyle Account Manager to join our PR Team based in Shepherds Bush. This is a hybrid role based in the office 3 x days a week. Your clients could be a mix of high end restaurants, hotels or a mix of interesting brands.
Our Account Managers at Sauce drive our client accounts. They are capable and confident operators with a thorough understanding of the required media and communication skills and are fully cognisant of the media tools available to create required media coverage in all PR areas.
Your role would involve successfully leading some junior team members, delivering the execution of the strategies and activities as detailed by their Account Directors and HODs, ensuring that programmes and objectives are being adhered to, and that their accounts are well organised.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Degree level qualification, or equivalent
· Previous Public Relations in the lifestyle space
· Digital campaign experience in a Public Relations environment
Sauce Account Manager – Roles and Responsibilities
Agency Business
· Understand and meet guidelines on best business practices, including utilisation, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports etc
· Make presentations to groups of all sizes, internal and external, formal and informal
· Participate in professional development opportunities for personal continued growth
· Initiate and lead brainstorms on relevant accounts and new business. Evaluate results and propose strategic path
· Prepare first draft new business proposals, attend meetings and pitches
· Support AD to ensure smooth integration of new business, creating and working to critical paths
· Act as an ambassador to Sauce – both internally and externally
Client Service
· Manage day-to-day client relationships and satisfaction levels
· Hold regular meetings and/or maintain regular phone or written contact to keep key clients appraised of work progress, address issues that appear and solicit feedback from clients, and assess PR results against client expectations
· Read key publications daily. Share findings and implications for the business with your client, team or broader agency
· Have active understanding and awareness of issues, marketing objectives, technology and products, in order to provide strategic planning and counsel to the client and media
· Support AD in preparation of client annual review and proposals for forthcoming year
Media Relations
· Serve as day-to-day contact with media and influencers on clients’ behalf
· Proactively identify and progress creative media angles
· Ensure media KPIs delivery, along with individual client teams
· Research, understand and anticipate media interests, needs and preferences in order to provide value-added service to editors, to brief clients and to build relationships
· Continue to service press and contacts, expanding efforts toward senior level influencers
· Craft and place stories to provide the business press and senior-level influencers with information relevant to their audiences
· Apply strategic viewpoint to influential relationships, providing broader context of clients’ business and long-term positioning, and place in the marketplace
· Solicit feedback from influential contacts regarding their perception of your client(s), competition and industry position
· Confidently answer media questions, coordinate requests for product and interviews and provide useful information. Add strategic context, offering competitive comparison and long-term corporate positioning
· Thorough knowledge of target media, and sharing that knowledge with junior staff
