Insulet International Ltd is a medical device company specialising in insulin delivery systems, based in Hammersmith, London. Operating across the EMEA region (UK and Europe), the company plays a key role in supporting innovative healthcare solutions.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, supporting the accounting team in a dynamic business environment.
Apprenticeship Summary:
• Salary: £12,480 a year
(based on £8.00 per hour)
• Working Week: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid break)
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Online apprenticeship training supported by skilled tutors
• Level 3 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship
• Location: 245 Hammersmith Road, 6th Floor, London, W6 8PW
The Role:
This role sits within the Accounting Team and reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The apprentice will support a wide range of accounting functions, including transactional processes and statutory reporting across the Insulet EMEA region.
You will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced finance environment while developing core accounting skills.
Main Duties:
• Provide general accounting support to the finance team.
• Assist with transactional accounting processes.
• Support statutory reporting activities.
• Work across accounting functions covering UK and European operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with data entry and reconciliation tasks.
• Use accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.
• Liaise with internal teams where required.
• Support month-end and year-end processes where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures.
• Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role as directed.
The Candidate:
Qualifications, Qualities & Experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a finance role.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Training and Development:
As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:
· Study towards a Level 3 Accounts Assistant Diploma
· On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced finance professionals
· Regular progress reviews and development support
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Accounts Assistant Diploma qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? Potential progression into a permanent role within the finance team or further development within accounting, subject to performance and business needs.
