Role Overview
You will play a pivotal role in developing and strengthening the West London healthcare innovation ecosystem, with a particular focus on Charing Cross Hospital community as part of the wider West Tech Corridor Strategy. This unique position will bridge the gap between clinical expertise and commercial innovation, helping to establish West London as a leading hub for healthcare technology development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Ecosystem Development
- Develop and implement an action plan to grow the West London health tech cluster
- Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities between NHS clinicians, researchers, and commercial organisations
- Create and maintain a pipeline of promising healthcare technology companies considering locating in West London
- Organise networking events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen the ecosystem
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including NHS clinicians, healthcare technology companies, investors, and academic partners
- Serve as the primary liaison between ARC and the Trust
- Facilitate introductions between relevant parties to accelerate innovation adoption
- Manage communications with external partners and potential cluster members
Innovation Support
- Help healthcare technology companies navigate the NHS landscape and understand clinical needs
- Support companies in accessing clinical expertise and validation opportunities
- Guide NHS staff in engaging with innovative companies and technologies
- Identify and share funding opportunities with cluster members
Commercial Development
- Work with ARC West London to attract and retain healthcare technology companies
- Support the commercial referral program between the Trust and ARC
- Help companies access appropriate workspace and facilities
- Monitor and report on cluster growth metrics
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in healthcare technology, innovation, or related fields
- Strong understanding of the NHS and healthcare sector
- Proven track record in stakeholder management and relationship building
- Experience in commercial development or business growth
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Understanding of the healthcare innovation landscape and funding environment
