Overview of the Role:

Urang is a fast-growing property management firm with an expanding portfolio of properties across London. Based in Fulham, we are seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our Major Works Team.

Due to continued growth, we require a confident professional who can independently manage a broad range of surveying tasks while contributing to team-wide success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a wide range of building surveys including:
    • Damp and water ingress assessments with cause analysis and recommendations
    • Structural and subsidence surveys, including validation and defect analysis
    • Rebuild cost assessments
    • Insurance-related inspections and licence to alter reports
    • Condition reports and 10-year Planned Maintenance Programmes
    • Specification writing and occasional project management
  • Deliver high-quality reports within agreed fee ranges and timelines
  • Liaise effectively with clients, addressing technical queries and offering expert advice
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide technical and project support
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across a varied portfolio

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Relevant surveying qualification (e.g., RICS or similar) and membership of a recognised regulatory body
  • Experience managing a variety of surveying assignments with minimal supervision
  • Sound understanding of building pathology, insurance assessments, and planned maintenance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related industry software
  • Full UK driving licence preferred, and access to a vehicle is advantageous
  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a professional team environment

Benefits

Salary:
£55,000 – £60,000 (DOE)

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Hybrid Working:
Typically, 2–3 days per week on-site for inspections, with the remaining days split between home and office.
Please note: During the initial 2–3 weeks, you'll be expected to attend the office a couple of days per week for onboarding and team integration.

Annual Leave:
20 days per year (excluding bank/public holidays), increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days.
