Night Newborn Care Specialist

Seeking a wonderful night nurse for first time parents in the Fulham/Chelsea area.  Baby is due at the beginning of August and both parents are likely to be around for the first 3-4 weeks (along with some extended family!).  The schedule will be 7pm-7am for 5 or 6 nights per week, with the booking expected to last for at least 6-8 weeks.  There might be a small trip, depending on how things go, and the parents would appreciate some flexiblity around extra hours if possible.

• Prioritising the safety and well-being of the baby at all times, providing attentive and nurturing overnight care 
• Aiding recovery and providing support to Mum after the birth, ensuring she is well rested, hydrated and healing well after the birth, and maintaining a calm environment
• Providing guidance and tools to enable the parents to keep to a daily schedule, and building their confidence in all the day-to-day aspects of baby's care and well-being
• Developing and establishing a structure and routine when appropriate, gently encouraing healthy sleep and feed schedules
• Baby's laundry, bottle sterilising (if required), and cleaning of toys and other baby items

Candidates should be:

• Trustworthy and reliable
• Extremely good communicators and able to work in a relatively structured environment
• Warm, friendly and passionate about their role
• Able to work with involved parents 
• Open, supportive, warm and caring
• Available from beginning of August
• Locally based, as this is a live-out role during the day
• Extremely experienced with relevant qualifications and, if possible, some kind of medical background
• Tidy, quiet and discreet, able to read the room and to know when to be present
• Organised
