Job Summary

A department of 8 tasked with ensuring the commercial value of all Disney (WDSMP) theatrical releases is fully exploited. WDSMP distributes all theatrical titles from, among others, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. The department collaborates closely with the divisional Marketing, Publicity, Technical Operations and Finance teams to guarantee that Disney films are given the best possible theatrical release. The sales environment can be pressured, numbers oriented and frequently deadline driven. This role plays a key role within the Sales Team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all WDSMP films are given the best possible theatrical release.

This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Sales Team objectives across all aspects of Theatrical Distribution including keeping exhibitors up to date with forthcoming theatrical release plans, building relationships with UK exhibitors, and optimising sales and engagement across all Disney theatrical releases.
  • Manage select exhibition clients to meet sales targets and client satisfaction. ļ‚· Manage key and ad hoc projects such as anniversary re-releases and special projects.
  • Monitor the progress of all WDSMP releases against the agreed sales strategy, flagging and resolving issues as necessary, reporting data back to the Sales Team. Helping to identify trends and potential opportunities.
  • Enter and administrate booking contracts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of theatrical systems and processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners, building relationships and effective communication.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Publicity, Technical Operations and Finance.
  • Support the training and development of the department intern.
  • Support the event management of internal and external screenings and events.

The Experience We Require From You:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with partners within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to assess and improve on processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Previous experience within the Film Distribution Industry.
  • Effective time management and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaboration and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a pressured, deadline driven environment.
  • A genuine interest, knowledge and passion for films.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

Additional Information

  • Occasional UK based travel and overnight stays required
