About the Role & Team 

 

Based at the London Post Production facility, the Post Production Engineer will provide technical support on-site, as well as remote assistance to Post Production users across EMEA. This includes support for video editing, audio post, and graphic design workflows. The Support Engineer will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or escalate them to second-line support when necessary 

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology (DEEP&T) brings together the best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams to drive the global operations for the Company’s content engines. DEEP&T manages the P&L, distribution, network, engineering operations, sales, advertising, and key technology functions for Disney’s streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ HotStar, as well as domestic broadcast and cable television networks.  

DEEP&T plays a pivotal role in developing products, platforms, and innovations, leveraging technology to drive business performance and enhance consumer engagement. The team focuses on creating scalable systems and products that empower DEEP&T’s operations and bring creative ideas to life. With a global reach and a strong local presence, DEEP&T helps optimize platforms, resources, and technology to create industry-shaping approaches.  

 

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do 

 

  • Provide support for the London Postproduction facility as well as remote assistance to Postproduction users across EMEA  
  • Assist team members with technical upgrades and new installations, in conjunction with 3rd party integrators and other third-party providers.    
  • Follow the agreed change control process for all planned technology changes making sure that all work is documented, and any changes updated on the relevant wiring/ cable schedules, workflow drawings and project documentation.  
  • Ensure Ticketing system is accurate and up to date.  
  • Undertake preventative maintenance to ensure maximum system availability whilst managing and documenting the maintenance cycle.  
  • Maintain spares inventory and ensure stocks of spares are current and accessible.  
  • Maintain Postproduction documentation up to date 

 

 

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Education to Degree level in a related field.  
  • Alternatively educated to a higher education standard, such as the International Baccalaureate, with greater than 2 years demonstrable track record in support  
  • Be technically competent across a wide range of Postproduction related areas.  
  • Knowledge and experience in any of the following Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Avid ProTools  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.  
  • Strive to maintain and exceed high standards of excellence in customer support.  
  • Impeccable attention to detail   
  • The post holder should possess a high level of organisational ability coupled with outstanding diplomacy skills.  
  • They should be self-motivated and clear thinking with the ability to intelligently prioritise conflicting tasks.  
  • Excellent communication skills are essential. The ability to break down complicated technical jargon in to lay persons terms is an advantage  
  • As there may be times when issues arise outside normal working hours a willingness to be flexible in hours worked is desirable     
  • The ability to assess complex technical problems and provide fast effective solutions  
  • A high standard of computer literacy on the Mac, Linux and Windows platforms  
  • Pursue and uphold high standards of excellence.  
  • Should have the ability to be proactive and have a can-do attitude, also the ability to work unsupervised.
