An exciting opportunity to join us as design admin assistant has been created to assist our growing Renfold brands portfolio. This role would suit someone who is already in the industry working at this level rather than as a first job due to the fast-paced nature of this role. The position covers multi category clothing and accessories spanning Womenswear, Menswear, Kidswear, and Homewear. This role will initially sit across both Chelsea Peers and the wider Renfold brand portfolio, including Urban Threads. You will give support to the design team and the wider product team, reporting to our designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing technical design files to the required specifications and ensuring these are updated
  • Working closely with the buying and design team and the briefs/deadlines they set
  • CAD and design development for menswear, womenswear & kidswear and non-clothing
  • Keeping internal spreadsheets and sample trackers up-to-date making sure all information is correct
  • Supporting the design and product team in general office admin
  • Experience liaising and building strong relationships with factories and suppliers ensuring constant communication
  • Send samples to factories & customers
  • Manging the filing and organisation of swatches and samples
  • Preparation for internal and external meetings
  • Follow critical paths & key dates ensuring deadlines are met
  • Constant research and reporting on relevant key trends and inspiration
  • Collaborating with the production team making sure comments and approvals are made within 48hrs of submits received

Key Skill Requirements

  • BA Design degree or equivalent
  • At least one year experience is ideal
  • Clear understanding of timelines
  • Very creative with a strong attention to detail
  • Hard working & organised
  • Being trend aware with a strong eye for colour, shape
  • Time management skills with the ability to hit tight deadlines both personally and within a team.
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage a high work load.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally.
  • Can do attitude and be reactive and flexible with their work whilst using their own initiative
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Cloud programs especially illustrator & photoshop
  • Understanding briefs & managing expectations

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Full time, hybrid with flexi start time
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Please note this role is initially based 5 days in our Chiswick office dropping to 3 days after successfully passing the 3 month probation period. Applicants must therefore be comfortable travelling to this location.

You will be reporting primarily to the Designers and Senior Buying Manager, completing briefs & creating new, exciting prints.
