Why This Role Matters

What You’ll Do

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with local external counsel where necessary.
• Oversee and manage employment disputes and litigation globally, ensuring effective resolution strategies.
• Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and handbooks to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Advise on data protection and privacy issues related to employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
• Support HR and leadership on organisational changes, including redundancies, transfers, and integration projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external law firms, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal support.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver proactive solutions that align with company culture and strategic objectives. 

What You Bring

• Qualified lawyer in a UK (preferred) or European jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of post-qualified employment law experience gained in private practice and in-house, with at least 2 years in an in-house role.
• Experience advising on employment matters across UK/EMEA, including managing disputes and complex workforce issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and communicate legal issues to non-lawyers.
• Highly organised, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach.
• Demonstrable experience collaborating with diverse audiences internally and externally.
• The ability to speak a foreign language (German and/or French are particularly valuable).
