Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Lead account director for select IMG football relationships across Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa
- Liaise with senior stakeholders across multiple areas of the business to support IMGβs Football function, including Finance; Legal; Creative; Strategy; Sponsorship; Production; Technical Services; Digital; and others
- Develop deep understanding of client / IMG commercial relationships, contractual provisions, sales performance, reporting functions, etc.
- Deliver best-in-class client management, including broadening client / IMG partnerships where appropriate, to include wider group business units (e.g. digital, production, sponsorship, etc.)
- Participate in, and in some cases lead, rights acquisition process to enhance IMGβs football portfolio
- Work closely with the Commercial team on all media sales discussions relating to clients
- Lead and shape key client strategy and presentations
- Prepare regular updates for IMG Senior Management
- Other duties that are within the scope of the role may be .
- 7-8 yearsβ experience working within the sports media/marketing industry is desired
- Strong knowledge of the media industry and global football landscape
- Demonstrable experience managing complex clients and projects
- Experience managing a small-mid size team is preferable
- A natural problem-solving mindset is essential
- An understanding of TV production/technical distribution is highly beneficial
- A contact network within the sports media business (clubs, leagues, federations, confederations)
- An entrepreneurial approach to business development and regional football expansion
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build long-lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to self-direct, motivate and take decisions using commercial intuition
- A strong team player that is flexible dependent on business demand
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Numerate and analytical with the ability to understand detailed financial reporting
- Committed to client service excellence and fostering quality business relationships
Working Conditions
- This permanent role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
- May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
- Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
